Skin revitalization by means of the program IONTOPHORESIS + placenta extracts
Placenta extracts are widely used in cosmetology and dermatocosmetology. The effectiveness of skin treatment with the use of Plazan Placenta extracts and Iontophoresis, that increases penetration of placental components into skin, has also been clinically proven. Iontophoresis is a method that combines galvanic current effect with an active preparation. Iontophoresis oxygenates skin and increases components absorbency.
Originally, the technology of ionic permeability was used in medicine for the "guaranteed delivery" of medicinal preparations, such as corticosteroids, different anaesthetics, epinephrine and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs into skin.
When used externally, there are a few ways how medicinal preparations can penetrate into skin: transepidermal way, via sebaceous glands, hair follicle or perspiratory glands. The last one is the most effective. Iontophoresis is an effective way of the guaranteed delivery of water-soluble medicinal preparations deep into epidermis, where excess melanin is localized, and into derma, where synthesis of collagen and elastin takes place.
Application: After skin cleanse, adjust the device's polarization to minus, and start carrying out iontophoresis treatment over the whole face for 15 minutes. Apply Plazan moisturizing cream or regenerating gel after that.
Outcomes: After a course of treatments with Plazan placenta preparations the following results have been achieved:
- decolorizing of pigment spots;

Plazan Placenta extracts produce whitening effect upon skin due to its triple action: they suppress melanin synthesis, take out the existing pigment and oxygenate skin.
Plazan placenta extract is a multi-component preparation: it contains a lot of amino acids and vitamins (including the whole group B vitamins), growth factor (EDF and FGF), nucleic acid, 300 different enzymes and many other components.
Only low molecular weight active agents of medicinal and cosmetic preparations may effectively act upon skin. It is known that in order to penetrate into corneal layer, the molecular weight of a component must not be more than 500 carbon units. Liquid chromatography of the used placenta extracts has shown that more than 60% of its solid is constituted by the elements which molecular weight is less or equal to 500 carbon units.
Plazan Placenta extracts contain such amino acids as alanine and cystine, which take part in collagen synthesis and possess the molecular weight of less than 500 carbon units. For that reason they easily penetrate into skin, facilitating its elasticity, and appear as enhancers for other active components.
