Plazan Laboratory Test: Aging Mechanisms
Modern cosmetology has accumulated rather big knowledge, which allows offering specific programs, based on established causative and quantitative relation between age and skin structural components (bio polymers), to improve skin condition. In this case it is easy to suppose, that if the aging process can be diagnosed by clear biochemical factors as an ordinary disease then, accordingly, it can be "treated" by exogenous bio molecules introduction. Therefore, the aging mechanisms can be slowed down and, at best, turned back.
Plazan research laboratory have been studying aging mechanisms for over 20 years now. Because of numerous tests, the most expressed and close connection was found between skin ageing and liver state - our main detoxicant. The worse the liver state, the worse the conditions of our skin.

Plazan Laboratory Test: Aging Mechanisms
Plazan summary testing data (the period of test - 2 yeas)
During a 2 year of test, 33 samples of skin and blood serum were taken from women of 30-90 years of age.
The skin samples were taken from plastic surgeries, blood serum was taken from a donor site to use for estimation of the inside habitat.
Blood serum was examined for the volume of destroyed liver cells, responsible for its functional activity:
- Thymol
- Bilirubine
- Alanine Aminotransferase
- Asparte Aminotransferase
- Glycosaminoglycans - also known as a strong detoxicant
Ranging from 30 to 72 years old.
DESTROYED LIVER CELLS VOLUMES IN BLOOD SERUM FOR VARIOUS AGE GROUPS ![]() |
Test results. Diagram 1 From our 30-s: the Thymol destroyed cells level in our blood serum increased by 50% by the time we reached our 50-s and twice as much by the time we reached our 70-s; Bilirubine destroyed cells level in blood serum increasing by 70% by the time we reached our 50-s and three times as much by the time we reached our 70-s; Alanine Aminotransferase destroyed cells level in blood serum increasing 8 times by the time we reached our 50-s and 12 times as much by the time we reached our 70-s; Asparte Aminotransferase destroyed cells level in blood serum increasing 10 times by the time we reached our 50-s and 19 times as much by the time we reached our 70-s. |
GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS VOLUME IN BLOOD SERUM FOR VARIOUS AGE GROUPS ![]() |
Test results. Diagram 2 From our 30-s:Glycosaminoglycans volume in blood serum increasing by 10% by the time we reached our 50-s and twice as much by the time we reached our 70-s. |
GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS VOLUME IN SKIN ![]() |
Test results. Diagram 3 From our 30-s:Glycosaminoglycans volume in the skin samples decreasing by 20% by the time we reached our 50-s and twice as much by the time we reached our 70-s. |
Note 1: With age the liver cells functional activity significantly slows down. Hence slows down the liver's detoxicant abilities. You also find increased amount of lytic glycosaminoglycans in the blood serum.
Note 2: Another tendency we observe in the skin. With age the amount of albumens and nucleic acid within the skin does not change with age! (Attention! We are talking about quantity not quality) but glycosaminoglycans volume is reduced by 50%.
Identical tendency visualized in tests for heart, kidney and cerebrum. This testifies that washing-out of glycosaminoglycans from tissues intercellular matrix is the mechanism of aging. More so, the result of tissue glycans degradation processes we observe in blood plasma.
In other words it means that, when our internal organs are delivering (draining) its supplies, then our organism's adoptive systems are finding the necessary material in a reserve source. And this source is our biggest organ - the skin. With age our skin becomes thinner, exhausted.
Test conclusion: Skin aging is a result of the reduction of glycosaminoglycans in the skin tissues, and according to Plazan scientific researchers, because of hyaluronic acid destruction - the biggest glycan of our organism.
